Our support service offer to DeSIRA Pillar 1 projects

DeSIRA-LIFT developed a menu of support services and a delivery approach aimed at upgrading the five core capacities to manage for impact, while enhancing mutual learning and synergies between DeSIRA Pillar 1 projects. This menu will be adjusted gradually based on the feedback received from projects, as well as their support requests, to prove and improve their impacts.

Seven service formats

In line with its aim to upgrade the core capacities to manage for impact, DeSIRA-LIFT offers seven different service formats to DeSIRA projects:

  • Providing experts for on-the-job coaching to help project teams to address their managerial challenges.
  • Online training programmes on MEL systems, approaches, and tools for AIS-oriented interventions. These trainings will be run three times a year for Project cohorts. They are announced a month ahead to allow for online registration and the mobilisation of volunteer project staff.
  • Facilitation of a Community of Practice, with the twofold goal of sharing DeSIRA practices and bridging project support needs with available international expertise.
  • Support for the organisation of horizontal evaluation workshops in countries that combine self-assessment and external review in order to stimulate cross-project learning, benefit from peer-to-peer learning, and improve the work of local teams.
  • Regular webinars on specific themes that turn out to be of interest for a majority of projects working in a given innovation domain or in a given context or geographic area.
  • Providing online reference resources and guidance material
  • Elaboration of cross-project learning reviews (data collection and analysis) on topics linked to the DeSIRA-LIFT learning agenda.
