A particular focus of DeSIRA-LIFT’s advisory work is to support and promote agroecological pathways as a viable transition option for sustainable agri-food systems in Africa. In this context, DeSIRA-LIFT carried out a mapping of African research and education organisations and networks involved in research and innovation initiatives in the field of agroecology and other innovative approaches. The mapping aims to feed into the European Commission’s programming efforts within the framework of the Regional Indicative Programme for Africa, specifically Priority Area 4 on Digital and Science, Technology and Innovation (STI).
