DeSIRA-LIFT is very pleased to join forces with the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) and many partners in organising the 2022 edition of the Biennial Africa Climate Smart Agriculture Stakeholders Conference (pdf) supported by the European Commission (DG INTPA). The hybrid event hosted by FARA will take place from 14 to 16 September 2022.

Five exciting topics will be discussed for which we make a call for papers to bring various perspectives and practices.

• The role of digitalisation in advancing Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) in smallholder systems
• The nexus of CSA and the mechanisation of the smallholder system in Africa
• Bottom-up and system-wide capacity development approaches to enhance CSA practices
• Strengthening the support of extension and advisory services to ensure CSA compliance among smallholders in Africa
• Advances in CSA technology generation and use in crop, livestock, fisheries and aquaculture
• The contribution of agroecology to CSA
