Are you passionate about communication on topics related to food, agriculture, environment in the Global South? Do you want to support communication that bridges the worlds of science and policy relevant for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? DeSIRA-LIFT is looking for a pro-active Communication Officer.
DeSIRA-LIFT (Leveraging Innovation for Food system Transformation) is a service facility to the DeSIRA Initiative (Developing Smart Innovation through Research in Agriculture) funded by DG INTPA of the European Commission. The DeSIRA programme seeks to enhance an inclusive, sustainable and climate-relevant transformation of agri-food systems, by enhancing the developmental impact of applied research on food systems. It supports actions in the Global South to strengthen the resilience of their agri-food systems, and the relevance and coherence of the national and regional research and innovation systems. DeSIRA-LIFT offers three areas of services:
The Communication Officer is responsible for the external communication and dissemination of DeSIRA-LIFT outputs. The Communication Officer is expected to be available for 8-16 hours per week, for the period October 2023 – May 2025. The maximum daily fee rate is 450 euro per day. Interested candidates are invited to review the Terms of Reference and submit their applications (a cover letter and a CV that highlights relevant experience against the requested profile) to desira.lift@wur.nl.
