Call for experts

DeSIRA-LIFT is looking for two experts to conduct a scoping study on existing funding mechanisms for innovation in Africa.

The aim of the assignment is to identify and characterize the diversity of mechanisms (i.e., processes and interventions) to fund innovation in Africa at different phases of the innovation process. The scoping study is expected to take place in the period September 2023 – February 2024.

The two experts are expected to work as a team. Interested experts can apply as a team or individually:

• Senior expert in Funding Mechanisms for Innovation – team leader (NKE 3.15)

  • Number of days: 40 days
  • Max fee rate: 700 euro per day
• Expert in Funding Mechanisms (NKE 3.16)

  • Number of days: 35 days
  • Max fee rate: 450 euro per day
