Call for Experts

DeSIRA-LIFT is looking for two experts who will work with the European Commission (DG INTPA) and the African Sub-Regional Organisations (SROs) ASARECA, CCARDESA, and CORAF to prepare and coordinate an upcoming call for Expressions of Interest for Regional Centres of Excellence for Agroecology. One expert will be responsible for the coordination and procedures of the call, and the other expert will be responsible for the call content, with a specific focus on research for agroecological transitions in Africa.

The summary profiles of the two experts are:

1. Senior experts in international research partnerships

• At least 12 years relevant professional experience in international development
• Experience in building research consortia, developing calls for proposals; knowledge of call procedures of the SROs and the EC is an advantage
• Assignment: max 70 working days, at a daily fee of 700 euro
• Deadline for applications: 28 February 2023.

2. Senior expert in research on agroecological transitions

• At least 12 years relevant professional experience in international development
• Experience in research focusing on agroecological transitions of food systems
• Assignment: max 50 working days, at a daily fee of 700 euro
• Deadline for applications: 28 February 2023.

The two experts are expected to collaborate as a team. The timeframe of the assignment is March to December 2023.
