Samnieng Huadlim, a 62 year old Thai farmer holds rice stalks harvested at Greenpeace’s “Rice Art” field in Ratchaburi province 80 kilometers West of Bangkok, that depicts an image of farmers working in a rice field in black and green colours. Greenpeace has commenced the harvest of the green variety of rice in the field today and have called upon the Thai Government to ban genetically modified (GMO) rice.
