Call for experts

DeSIRA-LIFT is looking for an expert in research in agroecological transitions in West Africa, who will work with the European Commission (DG INTPA) and the African Sub-Regional Organisations (SROs) ASARECA, CCARDESA, and CORAF to prepare and coordinate an upcoming call for Expressions of Interest for Regional Centres of Excellence for Agroecology. The expert will have a specific focus on research for agroecological transitions in West Africa.

The summary profile of the expert is as follows (see the Terms of Reference for more detail):

• Senior expert in research in agroecological transitions
• At least 12 years relevant professional experience in international development
• Proven track record in research focussing on agroecological transitions of food systems
• Excellent proficiency in English and French
• Assignment: max 20 working days, at a daily fee of 700 euro

The expert is expected to collaborate with two other experts in a team. The timeframe of the assignment is April to December 2023.
